How to setup Pivotal Tracker Integration

This integration will allow you to connect with Pivotal Tracker and start collecting your data. It is a matter of minutes to send your development data to feed your BI, your data warehouse, or your custom analytics stack. With your Pivotal Tracker data into one place like Google BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift or Microsoft SQL Server, it is much easier to analyze your development and support data. You can even get it a bit further up by combining with transactional data or data from your support and analyzing them using your favorite Analytics, Business Intelligence, or querying tools.

Our Pivotal Tracker integration uses our Incoming Webhooks to connect and sync data. For more information on Incoming Webhooks, check out the Setting up Incoming Webhooks guide in our knowledge base.
Our Pivotal Tracker integration is currently in open beta.

What can I see with Webhooks on Pivotal Tracker?

You can use a webhook as a trigger of events. In Pivotal Tracker, webhooks are called Activity Webhooks. These Activity Webhooks allow you to receive activity events from your Pivotal Tracker project. It’s possible to add multiple webhooks per project on the Webhooks Pivotal Tracker page in project settings.

When you want a trigger or update sent from Pivotal Tracker after a story activity occurs, use a webhook. For example:

  • You can trigger a webhook when someone create a story.
  • You can create a webhook when a comment it added or a story state changes.

You can see a list of events you can receive notifications about stories, comments, projects, tasks or epics.
