ONE12th is a Data, Marketing and Automation consultancy. We believe the world is rapidly headed into a more data-driven and automated future.
We enable our clients to embrace this once-in-a-lifetime technology revolution. At the core of our solutions is the Systems Of Intelligence framework.
Austin Tucker is a Data Engineer in ONE12th: “It is my responsibility to ensure that the data architecture we implement for our clients is representative of their data needs and the data that is available is relevant and pertinent for them to conduct business.
This role allows for ONE12th to enable data-driven business action by setting up the necessary infrastructure for each of our clients to house and consume their data.”
In the context of one of the projects we had with our client, we needed to include, in our solution, a data warehouse containing marketing data that was generated as a result of their ongoing and past digital efforts. While evaluating the methodology for extracting this information, it was determined that we would need a solution that used the respective APIs of those platforms, built out the parsing of that data and migrated it to a data warehouse solution, all while being on a scheduled routine so that data could be consistently updated.
We had previously investigated other ETL as a service solutions as these seemed to be the precise type of product we were looking for to perform this task. We also had experimented with connections to separate data warehousing solutions that could fit the model of our client.
By resolving this, we would be able to appropriately create links between all of our client’s data sources and allow for powerful insights on what was working for their digital marketing as related to sales.
Prior to Blendo, these deductions would be made with going between platforms and comparing numbers, utilizing the capabilities of spreadsheet programs.

By introducing Blendo, we were able to set up a database that had pertinent digital marketing data from platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads and Pardot on a consistent basis, which was a requirement to facilitate the insights generation component of our System of Intelligence solution.
At a high level, our System of Intelligence (SOI) uses platforms such as Pardot and Salesforce to incorporate digital touchpoints that a prospective customer of our client may interact with to make suggested actions that facilitate the potential sale of our client’s products or services.
“By being able to accurately store most of our data sources in one standardized data repository, we can now report more efficiently…”
These touchpoints include some of the aforementioned data sources, such as Facebook Ads and Google Ads.
Within this SOI is also a data warehousing infrastructure that has multiple databases that serve separate purposes such as reporting, application management and raw data management, which in this case, Blendo is integrated into.
When designing this infrastructure, one of the stipulations from our client was that we needed to stay in the Microsoft Azure technical stack, and this included for native database engines. Thus, being that we needed to use either Azure SQL Database or SQL Server as our database engine for the databases in our solution, we also needed an ETL as a service solution that could service Azure SQL Database or SQL Server, which Blendo was able to successfully do.
The biggest impact that we saw by using Blendo was our ability to open up the SOI to be able to have one source of truth when it came to our data through our data warehousing solution.

By being able to accurately store most of our data sources in one standardized data repository, we can now report more efficiently, create suggestions for our clients to interact more expeditiously and, in the future, automate the insights generation and action selection processes of the SOI so that the most optimal decisions can be made for the business.
